Welcome to Homer Township, the South-western most township in Medina County, Ohio. Established in 1831, the township remains rural and agricultural with a large Amish population.
Trustee meetings are held the last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. If a meeting falls on a National Holiday, the meeting will be held on the following work day. Zoning Commission meetings are held the second Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Board of Zoning Appeals meets the first Thursday at 7:00 p.m. or as needed. Homer Township Hall is located at 8964 Spencer Rd. (SR 301 North of SR 224).

Zoning Commission Public Hearing
The Homer Twp. Zoning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday October 13,
2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Homerville Community Center, 8964 Spencer Rd., Homerville.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive public comment on proposed amendments to
Article II - Definitions and Article VI – Sign Regulations, Sections 601-1, 601-3 and 601-6 of
the Homer Twp. Zoning Resolution. A copy of the proposed amendments will be available for
review prior to the hearing beginning Saturday, October 3, 2026 by appointment with the Homer
Township Fiscal Officer. Interested parties can contact the Fiscal Officer by email to
